Vestry Update: March 2023
Gifts - After some clarifying discussion, Vestry voted to approve the Gift Donation and Gift Acceptance Policy. That will be made available shortly for all to view.
Retreats - At St Crispin's (after Oakhater Lodge is repaired) were discussed - regular and silent.
Staffing - Todd Olberding will remain in his position a bit longer but at reduced hours. Dean working on what the Sexton position will entail. What can volunteers do versus what needs to be a paid position?
Stewardship - Samonia will provide a report on what was suggested/learned at Vestry Academy (Stewardship track with Leslie Pendleton), including a narrative budget.
Senior Warden - Be very welcoming to everyone, especially during Holy Week and Easter Sunday (wear stoles and grab welcome bags to hand out). Share our stories and suggest names of others who should share theirs.
Junior Warden - RFPs have gone out for the elevator with three options. Due in April. Planning for boiler. North Garden is a work in progress - subcommittee for overall plan and solutions. Grounds clean up before Holy Week, especially before Easter Sunday. Shout out to Todd Olberding.
Bylaws - In hands of Council. Gary Derrick in contact.
Vestry - Will pursue Dwelling in the Word in the future. Continuing Evening Vespers in the meantime.
