The Memorial Garden: Bringing the Vision Into Reality
The Memorial Garden: Bringing the Vision Into Reality
In the coming weeks, we will begin construction to complete the burial space behind the Celebration Arbor in the East Garden.
As we move forward, all work will be performed with the utmost care and respect for those laid to rest there, including retaining as much soil as possible. The families of those already or planning to be interred in the Memorial Garden have received communication about the plans. Our clergy have been and will continue to be praying over the work of creating this sacred space.
We are thankful to John Williams who donated a fountain for the Memorial Garden and to Tim Scott for the landscape design.
Below are drawings of what the new Memorial Garden will look like. Upon completion of the project, we will have a blessing and service to affix nameplates and re-consecrate the space. If you have any questions, please reach out to Dean Churchwell at deanchurchwell@stpaulsokc.org.
